ABOUT THE MINGA_
With a cross-border and systemic change approach, the Minga Jaguar:
The Biocultural Alliance of Technological Innovation and Ancestral Knowledge for the Jaguar BioCorridor aims to be a platform for collaboration, bi-directional learning, and the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and appropriate technologies that strengthen biocultural governance and the regenerative economy to accelerate the conservation and regeneration of Jaguar habitats —through the recommendation of cross-border public policies and the implementation of innovative financial frameworks.

OUR REASON WHY
The integration of purpose-driven emerging technologies—such as satellite monitoring, AI, eDNA, and blockchain—strengthens territorial management for communities, improves transparency in conservation, and reduces investment risk, facilitating access to financing. Protecting the jaguar, the largest native feline in the Americas and a key regulator of ecosystems, is essential not only for biodiversity but also for socioeconomic stability. Its rapidly declining habitat supports ecosystem services valued at up to $4 trillion USD annually, highlighting the urgency of regenerative models and innovative policies, such as recognizing it as a subject of rights, to ensure connected and resilient landscapes.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES_
Data interoperability with a biological corridor approach
Collaborate to design frameworks that facilitate the interoperability of information on the connectivity of jaguar biological corridors and restore critical habitats.
Financial innovation
Design innovative mechanisms that facilitate the flow of economic resources downwards and the mobilization of knowledge and transparency frameworks upwards.
Strengthening local communities and indigenous peoples
Strengthen local leadership in the use of new technologies for MRV.
Innovation in public policy
Recognize the Jaguar as a subject of rights in the region.
